Nigerian Navy, FOB Base, Bids Emotional Farewell to Commander Bukata Clement Bulus at Grand Send-Forth ceremony as he proceeds to Command and Staff College Jaji.

 

 The Forward Operating Base (FOB) Lekki, Nigerian Navy, on Friday evening hosted a befitting and colourful send-forth ceremony in honour of its outgoing Commander, Commander Bukata Clement Bulus, who has been posted to the prestigious Command and Staff College, Jaji. The well-attended event, held at the Base’s Officers’ Mess, brought together serving and retired senior military and paramilitary officers, traditional rulers, government officials, and community leaders to celebrate Commander Bulus’ exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions to maritime security in the Lekki-Epe corridor and beyond. Among the distinguished personalities who graced the occasion were, Rear Admiral Andrew Dacosta (rtd) AIG Umar Manko (rtd), former Lagos State Commissioner of Police Representative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Assistant Commander, Shuaib Na’Allah, Commander MOPOL 49 Base, CSP Victor Osuagwu, Hon. Razaq Ojikutu, representing the Executive Chairman, Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Barrister Nkechi, Several other senior officers, traditional leaders, and dignitaries In their goodwill messages, the guests praised Commander Bukata Clement Bulus for his professionalism, discipline, and cordial civil-military relationship that significantly enhanced security and community development in the Axis during his tenure. They described him as an astute administrator, a bridge-builder, and an officer whose doors were always open to both personnel and the host community. Rear Admiral Andrew Dacosta (rtd) particularly commended Commander Bulus for sustaining the legacy of excellence at FOB Lekki while fostering robust synergy with sister agencies and the community. Similar sentiments were echoed by AIG Umar Manko (rtd) and other speakers who wished him success at the Command and Staff College and in his future assignments. Responding, Commander Bukata Clement Bulus expressed profound gratitude to the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abass for the opportunity to serve at FOB Lekki and for the posting to the prestigious Jaji. He thanked all the dignitaries, his officers, ratings, and civilian staff for their support and cooperation, pledging to make the Base proud at the Staff College. The event featured presentation of gifts and a dinner, amid a warm and celebratory atmosphere.
