APC Lagos East Youth Leaders Unite at Lekki LCDA, Endorse Tinubu and Hamzat Ahead of Future Elections

 

 In a strategic move to strengthen party unity and grassroots mobilization, the APC Lagos East Senatorial District Youth Leader, Badmus Ismail Tunde, on Thursday hosted Youth Leaders from all Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across the Lagos East Senatorial District at the Lekki LCDA Secretariat.

The meeting focused on fostering unity among youth leaders, enhancing grassroots engagement, and preparing the party for future electoral success across the senatorial district.

The Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), was represented by the Supervisor for Youth Empowerment and Civic Engagement, who conveyed the Chairman's goodwill and reiterated his administration's commitment to youth empowerment, political inclusion, and active grassroots participation.

Speaking during the meeting, participants emphasized that unity remains the bedrock of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that a united youth structure is essential for sustaining the party's dominance in Lagos East and beyond.

A major highlight of the gathering was an extensive discussion on Permanent Voter Card (PVC) sensitization. The youth leaders called on all eligible Nigerians, particularly young people, to register for and safeguard their PVCs as part of efforts to strengthen democratic participation and prepare for future elections.

In a unanimous resolution, the youth leaders reaffirmed their unwavering support for the re-election of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as all returning elected office holders across the Lagos East Senatorial District.

The gathering also unanimously endorsed the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as their preferred candidate for the office of Governor of Lagos State.

To improve coordination between the Lagos East Senatorial Youth Leadership and youth structures across the LGAs and LCDAs, a five-member committee was inaugurated to strengthen communication and collaboration.

The committee comprises:

- Hon. Caleb Olomitola – Bariga

- Alh. Saheed Balogun – Epe

- Hon. Ayodele Ahmed – Ikorodu

- Hon. Omokhudu Alufohai – Kosofe

- Hon. Adeniyi Lukmon – Ibeju-Lekki

The committee is expected to facilitate effective information sharing, strengthen collaboration between the senatorial leadership and grassroots youth leaders, and ensure the seamless implementation of APC initiatives throughout Lagos East.

The youth leaders expressed appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, for hosting what they described as the maiden Lagos East Senatorial District meeting of APC LGA and LCDA Youth Leaders. They commended the initiative as a landmark step toward fostering stronger unity, cooperation, and collective action among the party's youth leadership.

Participants further called for sustained collaboration with the Executive Chairman, political office holders, party leaders, aspirants, and the Chairmen of other LGAs and LCDAs across Lagos East, noting that stronger synergy would deepen grassroots mobilization, expand youth participation in governance, and consolidate the APC's electoral victories.

The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge by all participants to promote unity, loyalty, grassroots mobilization, voter education, and unwavering commitment to the continued growth and success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Among those in attendance were Alogba Samsideen (Lekki LCDA), Comrade Femi Ogunade (Ikorodu North LCDA), Adebola Kabir (Ikorodu West LCDA), Alimi Kabir (Imota LCDA), Omowole Tope (Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA), Badejo Sola (Eredo LCDA), Adeniyi Lukmon (Ibeju-Lekki LGA), Ayodele Ahmed (Ikorodu LGA), and Saheed Balogun (Epe LGA).
