Tech Founder Joseph Hogan Turns Down HostAfrica’s Offer to Keep HoganHost Independent

Joseph Effiok Hogan, the tech entrepreneur behind HoganHost, has declined an acquisition offer from HostAfrica, choosing instead to keep his fast-rising company independent as it pursues its vision of becoming Africa’s leading hosting provider.

The move comes after HostAfrica a respected hosting company with a strong footprint across the continent expressed interest in acquiring HoganHost. For Hogan, the bid was not only flattering but also a sign that HoganHost’s growth and impact in the Nigerian tech space are being recognized.

“When a company like HostAfrica shows interest, it’s a validation that we are doing something right,” Hogan said. “But from day one, our mission has been clear: to remain independent, to serve our customers with excellence, and to build Africa’s number one hosting powerhouse.”

Although he expressed respect for HostAfrica, Hogan made it clear that independence remains central to HoganHost’s strategy. By charting its own course, the company intends to keep innovating and providing affordable, reliable hosting solutions tailored to Nigeria and the wider African market.

“The journey is only just beginning,” Hogan added. “HoganHost will continue to break limits, set standards, and empower businesses across Africa.”
